His practice unfolds like an ongoing spiritual surgery, with Fauvism as the scalpel and Abstract Expressionism as the blade. His creations move between chromatic violence and the dissolution of form: inheriting the Fauvist pursuit of pure color at its most absolute, while weaving in a Bacon-esque unflinching gaze into the abyss of human nature — the result is a body of work that is immediately recognizable and explosively charged. This mode of making not only imbues his figures with a sense of the absurd, but breaks new ground by transforming the color field into the dominant key behind figures undergoing spiritual fission.
