About"Resonance, Asian Visionaries: Manifesto"
"Resonance, Asian Visionaries: Manifesto" serves as a significant independent art section of this year’s Cultural Expo, as well as the largest and most comprehensive art platform of the event. The exhibition features works across diverse mediums, including sculpture, canvas painting, light installations, and digital art video, showcasing a vibrant array of artistic expressions. This flourishing diversity marks a solid step forward in fostering confidence in Chinese cultural and artistic identity while advancing the integration and dialogue within the contemporary art field.
The project's curatorial vision aims to seamlessly connect Chinese contemporary art with mainstream directions in global contemporary art, facilitating deep exchanges between varying creative philosophies. By presenting the works of Chinese and international artists in the same space and location across different timeframes, the project creates opportunities for artistic collisions and fusion in understanding. It also seeks to organize and analyze creative outcomes from diverse educational systems, offering reflections and projections on the future direction of experimental fine arts development.

At this year’s Cultural Expo, the Asian Art Research Institute focused on amplifying artists’ voices and exploring breakthroughs and cross-disciplinary innovation, with the theme "Asian Visionaries: Manifesto." This initiative received strong support and recognition from numerous artists and professional institutions. The concept of "Resound" embodies not only the echo of sound but also serves as a medium for artists to call out to and respond to the world.
As an ancient and intricate language, art bridges communication and connection, transcending barriers of race, political systems, language, and culture. It narrows the gaps between artists from diverse backgrounds and offers audiences the most immediate and profound engagement. The exhibition intentionally avoids traditional labels and textual explanations, allowing art to return to its essence. This invites viewers to freely receive the emotions conveyed by the artists, fostering a new understanding of artistic interaction and discovering personal resonances with the works. By showcasing the diversity of art from various cultural backgrounds, the exhibition highlights the transformative power of art in the new era, delves into deeper cultural awareness, and conveys the limitless potential of artistic expression.
Looking ahead, Gen Gallery will continue to collaborate closely with the Asian Art Research Institute to establish a comprehensive and professional academic platform. Through art projects, expos, academic forums, and other forms of artistic exchange, the gallery aims to enhance academic enlightenment and guidance, expand the diversity of the art ecosystem, and enrich the platform's societal and philanthropic impact. These efforts will drive the rising prominence of art and, within the global tapestry of multiculturalism, inject renewed vitality into China’s contemporary art ecosystem, positioning it as a vital cultural ambassador in international exchange.
